Projects – Awareness campaigns

The defining goal of cancer control is to reduce mortality; the main condition for reducing mortality from cancer is an early detection of initial, asymptomatic forms.

One of the most important pillars is to take initiatives for healthy population aimed at increasing their awareness about cancer and measures for its prevention.

OncoDozor – is an early detection screening program aimed at increasing the level of accessibility of diagnostics and treatment of cancer in different regions of the country supported by local healthcare bodies and Ministries of Health. Several years ago our project received a prestigious country medical award «Recognition».

Schoolchildren and students are the most active part of the society, who convey the knowledge obtained at the seminars and meetins to their families and friends. We deliver the message that cancer can be defeated in a timely manner. "Knowledge for the future generations" is a youth cancer awareness program focused to empower young people with comprehensive lifesaving and practical health information educating them on wellness strategies to improve their quality of life  and proactively protect their health and well-being of their relatives and friends.

Patient Schools

Educational webinars offer support and information to people with cancer and their caregivers, family and friends. Patient Schools equip people with the tools that they need to respond to the challenges that cancer brings. Each webinar is presented by an expert speaker and addresses topics of cancer treatment, quality of life, emotional and physical wellbeing, psychological support and legal advice to protect the rights of cancer patients in accordance with the local regulatory framework.

World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day is an international day marked on February,4 to raise awareness about cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. World Cancer Day unites governments and public across the world to take action against oncology and make sure that everyone has equitable access to lifesaving treatment.

Annually for many years on World Cancer Day together with our main partner in patient advocacy The Interregional Public Movement «Movement Against Cancer», we run a comprehensive meeting with participation of cancer community and multileveled stakeholders around the country. Forum Against Cancer that has become one of the largest expert platform in Russia, brings together key decision-makers - leading oncologists, representatives of health authorities, public organizations, pharmaceutical associations and patients – and encourages to interact, share experience and expertise to address various issues related to cancer in the country.

Cancer insurance

Equal Right to Life together with experts in health economics and insurance companies developed a system of cancer specific health insurance , which can serve as a basis for the implementation of public-private partnership projects in healthcare on a country level.

International Outreach

In July 2013, Equal Right to Life received a special consultative status of an expert organization at the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Equal Right to Life is the only non-governmental organization in healthcare regularly participating in the meetings of the UN General Assembly as part of the official Russian delegation.

For many years Equal Right To Life participates on a regulas basis in UN General Assembly meetings on Universal Health Coverage and contributes to the consultations with WHO Independent Commission on Noncommunicable Diseases.

2020: Discussion of the draft resolution on the global response to the covid-19 pandemic on the 74 th session of the United Nations General Assembly

Equal Right to Life is a regular participant of the European Health Forum in Gastein (Austria) and keeps an esteemed position among the leaders of the Rating of trust for cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
